Clubs and Organizations

Often a person who becomes interested in some aspect of earth sciences has very few places to go for help or advice. The following Clubs have been formed to promote their interests whether it is Goldpanning Prospecting or Mining or Canadian History and contacting them can be a of great help to you.

The Vernon Placer Miners meet the first Tuesday of every month starting in October through to June. Meetings start at 7:00 PM and goes to 9:00 PM. The location is: the Peace Lutheran Church Hall at 1204 30th Ave, Vernon BC. The easist way may be to go out hwy 6 towards Lumby. Turn left at seven eleven and go through 4 way stops on 19th st. until hitting 30th ave. Then turn right and go up to Peace Lutheran Hall on right a couple of blocks up. Edmonton Gold Prospectors Association - Regular meetings are generally held the second Thursday of the month from October to May with the exception of December. Our next meeting on Oct 14, 2010 at Laurier Heights Elementary-Junior High School 8210 - 142 Street NW at 7:00 PM in Room# 2(1 block south of the traffic circle on the west side of 142 Street). Doors open at 6:30 PM. Enter main school door at the middle of the east side of the building, Go down the stairs to the left, first classroom down the hall on the right. Campouts and other get togethers are held from June to September and they will be announced. The AGPA and EGPA Corn Roast this year will be held on Sept 11 2010 at Prospectors Point north of Devon.
